People are weird. Sasha decided that a long time ago. But weird wasn't bad, weird was interesting, so people were interesting - as well as weird. They did things she didn't understand, so in turn she wanted to understand. Ever since she was a child, she was just filled with questions for the world. Why did people not like this, why did they like that, why did you do that, why didn't you do this...? To put it bluntly, Sasha was quite the nightmare child because she just wanted to know everything. Worst even was when her curiosity couldn't be settled, she'd try to settle it herself, which often resulted in her wandering off on her own a lot the moment her parents looked away. They'd find her wedging herself into small spaces, climbing up on top of high shelves or the top of the fridge, or squeezing herself into the crawl space under the porch.
When her parents tried to get a break from their daughter's adventurous and troublesome nature, they went through quite a number of baby sitters who either couldn't keep up with Sasha's enthusiasm for exploration, or her thorough interrogations of everything. The only people who could keep up with her were those of her own age group, which only lead to more trouble, obviously. After a while of adults running thin on their patience for her relentless inquiries, Sasha did what she did best and tried to find answers herself. Which lead to her discovery of the beauty of the internet, Google, and a lot of content that someone as young as her probably should not have been exposed to. She was enthralled with the endless sea of information she had access to, and in turn, she finally freed the rest of the world from her interrogative grasp.
The internet introduced her to online communities, like tumblr, YouTube, forums, and various other places where people came together for their love for certain things. She became heavily invested in these groups after a while, becoming an avid analyzer of comics, TV shows, animes, movies, and writing fan fictions and shipping things. To put it simply, she became so invested in the internet, she shut herself off from most people for a while. Which caused her to be totally blind sided by the day her parents declared they were going to be having a divorce. She tried to understand why, but it just seemed silly and stupid to her, but in the end, her father left for the big city and she stayed with her mother in Anytown.
It pulled her from the computer a bit more to try and figure out what was going on around her after this sudden change in her life. The first thing she noticed was the fact she really didn't have many friends or people close to her anymore. She started to slowly come back out to interact with other people, and tried her best to understand those around her all over again. Make friends, associates; it was a little hard because her time shutting herself off caused her social skills to drop, but it's a work in progress. Which then lead to her quietly taking notes and writing these odd short stories about her classmates and her assumed theories on the relationships between people around her. Her outsider position let her easily get access to rumors and see interactions from an unbias perspective that made her guesses pretty on point and for a while, she was basically a solo gossip girl. She was the intel broker of her school about almost anything and everything, but this only lasted until her curiosity took notice of another thing about Anytown.
The numerous mysteries it had that needed to be unfolded... Which Sasha of course began to dig into, that lead to her eventually joining the Runaways that were also heavily invested in the town's mysteries. She became something like their archive keeper, writing down various pages upon pages of their gathered information and profiles on the mysteries they found and keeping track of who was really good at doing what. Despite her pencil pusher task, it didn't stop her from being one of the first people to try and going running off into the mysterious woods to discover what the hell has been killing people. Nothing new for Sasha Grayson, though.
