the runaways - vigilante children on the loose
the runaways are a group of kids (aged 8-17) who have taken it upon themselves to figuring out the mysteries of anytown. despite their name, the kids aren't actually runaways at all. still, they spend most evenings convening in their clubhouse (the kitchen of the leader, who lives with parents who work night shifts) discussing their game plan.

sector three - agents interested in mysteries
the united states government is massive, and sector three is part of the government as well. however, sector three is a very, very top secret group of agents who are also investigating the mysteries of anytown. these agents are investigating these mysteries both to prevent their spread to other towns and also because the government is curious as to what exactly is happening here. members of sector three lead normal lives on the surface, their status as covert agents extremely secretive and classified.

citizens for a safer anytown - concerned if not overzealous residents
citizens for a safer anytown - or cfsa - are a group of very concerned adults over the recent strange happenings in and around anytown. however, their organization has become a bit overzealous and maniacal. their leader is claiming all these weird events are leading up to the apocalypse, and the group's zealots are trying to recruit people constantly to their cause.
