a large housing development is situated in the south of town. many well-off families live there. it isn't gated by any means, but the pricetags on the houses are a gate in and of itself.

pelican's rest is a fancier restaurant, nestled against the shore of pelican lake, which is itself an offshoot of the pelican river. it's your typical, three-course-meal fare.

java queen is a locally-run coffee shop, similar to starbucks but they don't burn their coffee beans. it's popular among citizens of all ages, especially during the summer months.
 
On The Rocks

on the rocks is a prominent bar and nightclub in the south of town. it's the top destination for 21st birthdays, bachelorette parties...and wilder stuff in the private back rooms.
