friends you all know that cliché, the new kid in town; the new kid that doesn't know the meaning of settling down. candice (or candy, as her mother will insist) has moved consistently throughout her teenage years. while dave - her stepfather, whom she dislikes immensely - promises this is their forever home, she's not convinced. candice is determined to lock herself away with her best friend, nintendo. which is difficult, when mama hurley slams the front door on you and gleefully chimes "make friends, kiddo!" and resumes her marital bliss. to be perfectly candid: the thought of attempting to befriend another leaves candice with sweaty palms and all choking up.
enemies plenty. she's quick to bark at people. finding it easier to muster up a ball of abuse, than a bundle of pleasantries. many, frankly, lack the patience to deal with her bullshit. for candice, it's a defensive mechanism to fend off any potential friends. growing up, she let far too many people in, who were quick to stab her in the back after they had the grand vip tour of the hurley household. while financially more stable, it hasn't took away the typical caution she exerts with every new face.
lovers this is the girl that drips buckets when the notion of friendship is in the air. any indication that someone likes her is baffling, and will often be met with a vicious retort. (among trembling in her boots, choking and stammering.) either way, it's not a smart move- candice has a severe brother complex. if someone doesn't live up to the expectations he has set, they'll find themselves swiftly dumped to the curb.
ideas okay, so, for the record: i'd love it if candice gets a few friends going. and i mean like, forcefully be part of the squad, you little shit. people that will drag her into the most awful, wonderful scenarios that are totally out of her comfort zone. it doesn't have to be all fluff, candice has a lot of pent up teenage frustrations she's ready to vent out! but mostly, just throw your friendship at her. you'll be surprised, she might invite you around to play the nes as mama hurley embarrasses the pants off of her.

YOUR FRIEND IS HERE
lucy won't drag candice into doing shit other than like, socializing with other people, but she'll be happy to be school friends with her! she'll at least try to approach her and show her around as the new girl in town. they can talk nintendo and video games and nerd out together too!
